In Loving Memory of Louis Gianias

August 20, 1936 - July 14, 2023

With great sadness, the family of Louis Gianias announce his passing on Friday July 14, 2023. Surrounded by his loving family, Louis passed peacefully after enduring many months of illness. Born on August 20, 1936 in Sellasia, Greece, family was at the centre of Louis’ life. He was a loving and devoted husband to Vula and father to Gus (Caroline) and Angelo (Michele). But most of all, he was a cherished Papou to Samantha (Julian), Sarah, Daniel, and Emily. They brought him boundless happiness and were the light of his life.

He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. May his soul find eternal peace resting with our Heavenly Father and with those who have gone before him.

Visitation will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery & Funeral Centre at 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill on Thursday July 20th between 3pm and 5pm and 6pm and 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 21st at 10:30 am at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church at 11323 Warden Ave, Markham, followed by burial at Elgin Mills Cemetery.
