In memory of

Lorraine Marie McLaren

September 4, 1962 -  April 25, 2024

Lorraine (Bobsey or Bea as she was called by family and a handful of close friends), was one of 5 children born in Kingston, Jamaica to Lloyd and Lorna McLaren. She died peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on April 25, 2024. She was a daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.

Lorraine loved the culinary arts and was happiest in the kitchen whipping up some gastronomic delight she had created. She loved children and always had a treat at the ready to bring out a smile, dry up tears or to bribe a hug. She had a loud and contageous laugh and a willingness to help anyone in any way at any time.

Lorraine will forever be remembered by her loving family, mother: Lorna McLaren, son: Andrew Coley Jr., Andrew's fiancé: Stephane Diamondz, grandson: Andrew Coley (III) (AJ), sisters: Cavell McLaren-Smith and Keesha McLaren, niece: Jhnelle McLaren-Beato, nephews: Matthew and Daniel Lynch and many other close relatives and friends who were blessed to have known her.

Lorraine is pre-deceased by her father Lloyd McLaren, brother Jeffrey McLaren and sister Caroll McLaren.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Bramalea Baptist Church Summer Kids Ministries at Bramalea.org and indicate “In memory of Lorraine McLaren” in the notes section.

I can't believe you are not here anymore. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Rest in peace.

I praise God for Lorraine’s faith and the assurance of where she is now based on the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. Despite that, I was stunned by the news of her earthly passing. My prayers go up for my nephew Andrew Jr, his young son and beautiful family and friends who are grieving more personally. The grace and peace of God be with you all.

Lorraine will be missed. She was a great friend to my family and I. I will miss her laughter and definitely her cooking.

You will always be in my heart ❤️
