<div itemprop="description"> <p> </p> <p> It breaks my heart to tell you my Mother and best friend passed away Friday, April 27th 2012 at Scarborough General Hospital. </p> <p> Lorraine Eva Coombs (nee Page) was born in the township of Cartwright, Ontario on April 10, 1928 to Stanley Floyd and Ettie Gertrude Regina Page.&nbsp; She is predeceased by her siblings, Clara Page, Myrtle Bradley (Howard), Gladys Rowland (Ross), Bill Page (Aileen) and Alvin Page (Agnes). </p> <p> She is also predeceased by her husband Edward Eric Coombs, who passed away in November 2001 just 12 days after their 50th wedding anniversary. </p> <p> She is survived by her 4 daughters and their families who cannot fathom a day without her, Donna Rivers (Bob, Robyn &amp; Allison, Donnie, Jordana, Dominic), Charlene Coombs (Cecil Hammond), Diane Fergueson (Norm Wittman, Shea-Lea) and her caregiver, Susan Coombs. </p> <p> Our Mother was one of the sweetest ladies you&rsquo;ll ever meet and she had many good friends that were helpful in the last couple of years of her life &ndash; Anne Sturge and Milka Dziemianko, who made her meals, kept her company and gave her love. </p> <p> The family would also like to thank S.R.T Med-Staff, particularly Cecilia and&nbsp;Anette, who were so supportive in the last couple of months, and Angela, who became family. </p> <p> As well, CCAC (Community Care Access Centre), Warden Wood Community Centre, especially Rosalind who gave such comfort to our Mother after her hip replacement and after the death of her husband Edward. </p> <p> And finally, to the great staff at Scarborough General Hospital&rsquo;s palliative unit, Dr. Zoberman and Rory and all the rest who eased our Mother&rsquo;s suffering in the last 2 days of her life.&nbsp; Susan especially, does not know what she would have done without you both.&nbsp; Thank you, thank you, thank you. <br /> <br /> Her cat Spike is lost without her. </p> </div>
