In memory of

Lorraine C. Hatten

January 16, 1959 -  August 5, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorraine Hatten on the morning of Friday, August 5th at the age of 63. She will be lovingly remembered by her father: Kenneth Lindsay (Mary); her children: Lindsay Hatten and Ashley Loader (Adam); grandchildren: Alex, Addison, Avery, Adrian and Abigail; brother: Ken Lindsay (Doris); nephews: Aaron and Brendan; devoted lifelong friend: Debbie Buchan Grainger; as well as numerous other family members and friends here in Canada, in Northern Ireland and New Zealand. She was predeceased by her mother Agnes Lindsay.
Lorraine moved to Canada at the age of 6 with her parents and brother where she grew up to be a youth leader at church, worked for IBM, got married and had a family. Her children would be one of her greatest joys, raising them and becoming a grandmother. She poured her love into every relationship she had. Always having time for a friend and a smile on her face!
A private service has been held for the family. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada at www.mssociety.ca

Don't grieve for me for I am free!
I am following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day to laugh
To love to work or play
Tasks left undone will stay that way
I found peace at the close of day.

Be not burdened with time of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life's been full. I've savoured much
Good friends, good times
A loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now
He set me free.
