In memory of

Loi Chan

December 2, 1924 -  August 13, 2022

Mom, Grandma, Chan Loi ,passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital at the age of 98 years.

Born in China and moved to Hong Kong when she was fourteen. Later in 1990, she immigrated to Toronto with the family to start a new chapter at the age of sixties.

She was wonderfully devoted to her 6 children Lai Ping (Wong Yu Gun), Chui Ping (Lo Wai Shing), Daniel (Lily), Brain (Julia), Michael (Pearl) and Ann (Patrick ) and a loving Grandmother to Michelle, Ming, Kennis (Dick) , Claris, Kelly, Belle (Ray), On, Hailey, Janice, Summer and Clayton, Great Grandmother to Reaan Ngai and an Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Grandma Loi spent 98 wonderful years spreading joy to any and all around her. She was a comfort to many and a joy to all, most of her time was spent taking care of her family, her relatives and friends.

To the her family, she was a strong, determined and independent Mom. Although she was a busy working Mom, she threw her energies into raising their children. She led by example and there was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle.

To her friends and neighbours, she was known for her warmth of heart. She cared deeply for them. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Whoever needed help, she was always the first to offer help and welcomed them with her big arms.

She will be always remembered and missed dearly as a loving mother and grandmother and whose greatest passion was helping others. We are so grateful for the time spending with her and we will always feel her presence in our hearts.
