In memory of

Linda Ann Brown

January 11, 1958 -  December 11, 2020

We wanted to take some time to reflect and honor Linda. First as a daughter than as a mother and sister, but also a woman of God. Linda was a woman who was driven, yet honest. She was generous and often thought of others before herself. We saw that modeled on many occasions as well as throughout her many years working as a nurse at St. Josephs Hospital. Linda was the type of woman who gave me strength and others strength. Linda passed away peacefully Friday evening after hearing the final thoughts and prayers of her loved ones. She leaves behind her mother Doris Wilson, her sister Sue Hudson, her daughter's Megan and Alicia Streeter, as well as her grandchildren Jason, Brooke, Frankie and Ginger. She leaves behind a niece Jacqueline and nephew Ryan who we know were dear to her also. To the front line workers at St Joseph’s Hospital/ICU. The family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation for the care and kindness given to Linda and the family through out this very difficult time. Linda will be missed dearly but will continue to live on in our hearts. During Linda's life she was supported and loved by her companion and service dog Tulip.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lions Club in honor Linda would be appreciated by the family.

Although I only worked with Linda for a short time, I really enjoyed my time with her. She was determined and patient , I'm sure she was a great nurse educator. She was able to see other people's needs and perspectives beyond her own. She also had a good sense of humour and tried her best to be brave and positive, even when the chips were down. She loved her family so much, and being with each of you was a highlight for her. She appreciated everything that everyone did to help her along. I learned alot from working with her, and I will miss my visits with her. May you be resting now in God's eternal peace, Linda! Love, Anne

May this poem help heal your grieving hearts ♥️

I Can
I can shed tears that you are gone,
Or I can smile because you lived,
I can close my eyes and hope that you will come back,
Or I can open my eyes and see all that you have left.
My heart can be empty because I can't see you
Or I can be full of the love that you shared,
I can turn my back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or I can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
I can remember you and only that you are gone
Or I can cherish your memory and let it live on,
I can cry and close my mind and turn my back,
Or I can do what you would want:
smile, open my eyes, love and go on.

Linda, you showed grace and class and were a great example to me and so many others. I never heard you say a negative or unkind word. Our family will miss you very much. We look forward to the time when we will meet again.
