In memory of

Lilly Yamamura

July 19, 1932 -  September 22, 2022

Lilly was the daughter of Beaver Yamamura and Michi (Murabayashi) and is predeceased by her brother Tsutae and sister Mae Nagasuye. She enjoyed many lively gatherings with her nieces Janet Nagasuye, Lynn Newhouse (Gary) and Kyomi and her many cousins.

Lilly was a dedicated public servant for over 35 years and will be remembered as a woman of understated elegance and impeccable taste. She enjoyed a good meal out, her Globe & Mail, her sodukus and keeping track of the stock market trends.

A very private individual, she never wanted to cause a fuss or bother and in keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and a private burial will take place Saturday October 1.

In lieu of flowers or koden, donations to the Toronto Humane Society or the Salvation Army is appreciated.

My wife Cherry and myself are saddened on hearing the death of Lily. As the obituary mentioned, Lily was a very private person and I really didn't get to know her very well. However I did respect her as a very knowledgeable and refined person. Our sincere sympathy go to her immediate family. Best regards,Art and Cherry Yamamura

I am deeply saddened to hear of Lily's passing. She was a remarkable woman with class and good taste. What I will always remember were the Christmas's on Chaplin Crescent when my parents were alive. There was always lots of food, people, and good laughs. May she rest in peace.
