In memory of

Lillian Yuet Sim Lew

March 17, 1939 -  March 20, 2023

Lillian Yuet Sim Lew, a woman of many talents, age 84, died peacefully on March 20, 2023 surrounded by her family. Lillian is survived by her five loving children: daughter, Elaine (and husband Peter), and 4 sons George, Judson (and wife Karin), John, and Larry (and wife Jeannie); 6 grandchildren: Bethany (and husband Damon), Meghan (and husband Jacky), Taylor, Cara (and husband Alejandro), Ryan and Samantha; and great grandson Wesley; brother Lap (and wife Dianne) and 2 nephews Michael and Jimmy.

She was one of the hardest working and most talented people you could have ever met. After immigrating to Canada as a teenager, she became an accomplished seamstress, popular restaurateur, loyal employee at The Hospital for Sick Children as an accountant, and a successful real estate agent, property owner and landlord, all while raising five children.

Lillian's family meant the world to her. She was one of the most devoted mothers anyone could ever have. She would prioritize her children’s needs above her own. The loss has left her children with great sadness. Lillian will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all staff at the Scarborough Health Network - Birchmount Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Lillian's memory to the SHN-BH or The Hospital for Sick Children.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am on Sunday, March 26, 2023 (Viewing at 9:00 am) at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, Ontario. Interment to follow in Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
