In memory of

Lillian Bowers

July 28, 1916 -  April 24, 2016

LILLIAN GLADYS BOWERS, 99 years of age, of Toronto, passed away peacefully on April 24 2016.
LILLIAN was a volunteer for over 20 years. She was recognized for her service at the Wexford Home for Seniors in 1999 by Hillary Weston the Governor General of Ontario. She set up a scholarship fund for the Canadian Daughters League for students at Malvern Collegiate who pursued a vocation in social work.
We celebrate our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister for whom family always came first. Lillian’s kindness and love was felt by everyone who knew her. She brought great joy to her family and inspired us all to emulate her wonderful passion for life. We will miss her beautiful smile, the warmth of her eyes, her wonderful hugs, her generosity of spirit, but above all her positive and ever hopeful attitude toward life.
She left us with memories to cherish and a special spirit that is forever in our hearts. She will be missed by, son William and (June) Bowers of Oshawa; daughter Beverley Preston of Toronto; four grandchildren Nancy Lee Preston - (Paul) Harrison, Brett Preston (Sandra), Neil (Shannon) Bowers, Heather-Lynn (David) Turner; seven great grandchildren: Tyson, Miles, Thea, Dexter, Declan, Ian and Lillian and a dear family friend Wayne Burrett.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Harry William Bowers.
