Lila Wati or ‘Mata-ji’ was highly respected throughout her entire life by those fortunate enough to be touched by her spirit. Often received, her unique blessing ‘Jiteh Raho, Bari Umrah’ (may you live long) was her way of returning her love and respect and offering us all the wishes of a long and prosperous life. Many would come to know her as a rare and enlightened soul.
Spiritual, religious and knowing, Mataji’s devotion to god and to the divine spirit was a daily practice throughout much of her lifetime. From her youth to her final days, she has always been a strong and intelligent woman who believed in and practiced an open-minded philosophy towards life and towards everyone.
We will cherish every memory and every bit of her wisdom. She will remain in our hearts and our minds for generations and beyond…

‘na jayate mriyate va kadacin | ayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah | ajo nityah sasvato 'yam purano |na hanyate hanyamane sarire’
‘For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval.
