Lexia Hartle
May 14, 1930 - February 22, 2014
Hartle, Lexia Weir (Clark)
Passed away peacefully on Saturday February 22, 2014 in her 83rd year.
Lexia was predeceased by her beloved husband Douglas G. Hartle and loving brothers Ronald Clark of Ottawa and Allan Clark of Toronto.
Sister-in-law to the late Lorna Ritchie of Halifax and her husband, William Ritchie. Devoted mother to Sandra, Paul (Yaroslava Kiritchenko), Martha (Michael Tafts), and Geoffrey (Daniel Leonard).
Dear grandmother to Matthew, Benjamin, Simon, Catherine, David, Victor, Robert and Alexandra.
Lexia was a good listener. She also had a great sense of humour and the ability to make the perfect remark, just at the right time. Frequently combined, these qualities would raise your spirits just when you needed it most. As a result of this talent, Lexia became a trusted friend, and unwavering confidante, to many. Those moments will be cherished.
A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends in the spring.
The family wishes to thank the many caregivers for their compassion and support.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Sunnybrook Foundation would be appreciated.
