Leonard Henry McCarthy, 69, died peacefully in the presence of his loved ones, Saturday January 27th 2018 at Credit Valley Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit following a long battle with cancer.

He leaves behind his daughters Ashley Dann (Steve) and Caley Orbegoso (Jaime); two grandchildren Maribelle and Annabelle Orbegoso.

Also survived by his father Raymond McCarthy, brother Ronald (Lana), sister Janice Lavendar (Jack), brother Barry (Gail), brother Philip (Mary), brother Kevin (Jane), brother Glen, brother Raymond Jr. (Patti), brother Sheldon (Claudia), many nieces and nephews, as well other relatives and dear friends.

Predeceased by his mother Melvina (Fournier) McCarthy.

Leonard was an active member of the Catholic Church; he was a part of St. Joseph Parish (Streetsville), Merciful Redeemer (Mississauga), as well as St. Peter and Paul Parish (Mississauga). Leonard’s faith and love towards God was evident to those who knew him and is what gave him peace towards the end of his life.

May his soul forever rest in peace.
