Five years ago, Lea was diagnosed with C.O.P.D. She faced her illness with bravery, strength and optimism.
Throughout her illness, she remained positive and focused on the things that brought her joy - her family, her friends, her country music and reading. She never lost hope or her positive spirit.
She was a kind lady, thoughtful, spirited, warm, humble, had a wicked sense of humor and always a twinkle in her eye.
She will be dearly missed by her lifelong friends Deanna & Bryan Cassidy, who have been by her side daily, for the last five years.
The three of them were inseparable.
Bryan, was her unwavering breakfast date every Saturday morning. They shared good food that was always accompanied by memorable and often boisterous conversations.
Deanna was her lifeline to the outside world, her confidant, her protector and her constant companion. Together, they were thick as thieves.
Cherished and treasured by Jason and Laura Cassidy, whom she loved and adored.
Lea will also be missed by many friends including Carol and Xavier Cooper and Erica Brewster.
Also missing their Auntie Lea, will be Karen & Court Campbell (Peterborough) and their three children, Claire, Evan and Joy, whom Lea was very fond of.
She was a proud member and generous supporter of the Don Valley Bible Chapel. Pastor Matt Craig and Lea enjoyed many spiritual conversations; he was a great source of light, hope and support for Lea.
Her courage, was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Lea's life was defined by her unwavering dedication and generosity to her family and friends.
