In memory of

Lazaros Novratidis

January 24, 1936 -  October 31, 2019

Suddenly but peacefully, Lazaros fell asleep in the Lord with his family by his side on Thursday October 31, 2019 at the age of 83. Lazaros was a devoted husband, a loving father and a proud and loving pappou.
He was born in Koromilia (Kilkis) Greece and moved to Canada where he was the beloved husband of Noulie for 53 years, a loving father to Bill (Anita) and Eleni (Constantine) and a cherished pappou to Callie, Nicolas, Fanoula, Lazaros, Sofia and Peter.
He was a dear brother to Kostaki (Anna), Katina (Greece), Alekos (Holland) Irene (Australia) and Filo (Sweden) and brother-in-law to Soto (Eileen). He was predeceased by his parents Vasilis and Eleni and his sister Alexandra (Greece).
He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends for his kindness and constant acts of generosity.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to Evangelismos Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church of Oshawa.
May his memory be Eternal. Αἰωνία ἡ μνήμη.

Our hearts are with you as you all say goodbye to Pappou Lazaros. He really was an exceptional man, exuding honesty, and living his faith.
One of my fondest memories of your Dad, was in the back yard of Thea Sophie's and Theo Peter's home, when my daughter Ariana was quite young. She was crying because I wouldn't let her have a sugary soft drink she'd spotted on the patio table. Your Dad took the can, poured out the contents into a bush, filled it with water and handed it to Ariana. The crying stopped. She was delighted and ran off happily and contently, holding her can. You have lost a good, kind, principled man. Our heartfelt condolences as you grieve. With much love, Marianne, Anas, Ariana & Aris. We love you all.
