LAURA ANNE COATES (NEE CULUMOVIC)
Born in Port Colborne, ON., July 14, 1954 – died in Toronto, ON., August 31, 2017.

With great sadness, friends and family of Laurie Coates announce her passing at the age of 63. Dear wife of the late Chris Coates. Beloved Aunt of Brayden, Elliot and Kara. Sister-in-law to Jill (Gary Ford). Pre-deceased by her parents Louise (nee Porter) and Stephen Culumovic. A cherished friend to many.

Laurie was fiercely independent and, not surprisingly, she remained so even in her final days.
Laurie spent her career as Executive Assistant at CHUM radio and contributed her time to various philanthropic endeavors.

Laurie and Chris shared a very special bond. Throughout the years, she had many adventures with Chris and later with her good friends Dave and Anna Maki. Laurie and Chris also enjoyed attending antique auctions and this was reflected in their beautiful home filled with interesting curiosities.

She truly loved being an Aunt! And spending time with her niece and nephews. She will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace.
