In memory of

Lauren Margaret McEachern

January 11, 1989 -  August 18, 2024

Lauren Margaret McEachern lived a life that defied convention and embraced adventure. She spent her 35 years on earth chasing experiences and spreading joy across continents. While born in Toronto, Lauren was a woman of the world—an eccentric spirit with an insatiable curiosity, whose heart always found its way back to Paris, her beloved city of lights.

Fluent in many languages, Lauren effortlessly moved through different cultures, creating lasting friendships wherever she went. Her ability to connect people was nothing short of a superpower, and her warmth, humor, and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone that touched her life. Lauren was a lover of life’s finest things: entertaining with flair, exploring new places in style, and her beloved dachshunds.

Her vibrant personality and boundless energy were matched only by her deep love for her family. Predeceased by her sister, Erin McEachern, Lauren leaves behind her mother, Gayle McEachern, and a global network of friends who will miss her deeply.
Lauren’s life was a testament to living fully, passionately, and without fear. If our lives are measured by how much we live them, it’s helps us understand why Lauren’s journey feels so brief. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

A celebration of Lauren's extraordinary life will be held in Toronto this Fall with details to be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to North York General, Sunnybrook Hospital or Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ontario would be appreciated. Condolences may be forwarded through the donation tab on the Mount Pleasant Group obituary page.

Lauren was such a precious friend, always up for an adventure. I had the chance of meeting her at NJC, and we truly connected years later when we were both living in Paris. I will miss her kindness, generosity and wit. My heart breaks knowing that we will not meet again in the city of lights. I send out my condolences to Gayle and her many friends, and to everyone who had the chance of knowing and loving her.

Dear my beloved friend Lauren,

It’s hard, extremely hard to write these words. You have been a great friend, a generous soul to all the people that crossed your brief path in this world. You welcomed me as part of your family, you supported me in the hardest choices of my life, we celebrated in the best way possible the success of my career and finally you came to hug me and see with your eyes where life has brought me. There has not been one time I asked for your help and received a “no” as an answer.

You honoured me, cheered me up, enriched me with your friendship and this was priceless for me, it was one of the many signs of God's grace that I received. I'm sure it was the same for all the people who had the privilege to have you around them. There are so many of us today dismayed and sincerely saddened.

May God bless you and welcome you as you deserve, as he wanted you to deserve by making you go through the difficult adventure of suffering, which is always the entrance of heaven for the people who deserve it like You.

Goodbye my friend. And, thank you.

With infinite love,
Baldo

Dear Lolo,

I’ve been reflecting on the times we spent together, and it’s hard to believe you’re gone. You had such a genuine warmth about you, always making those around you feel valued and cared for. I’m really grateful for the moments we shared and the laughter we had.

You had this special ability to light up a room with your presence, and that’s something I’ll always remember about you. Even in the simplest moments, you brought a sense of joy and ease that made being around you so comforting.

It’s difficult to imagine not having you here, but I know your spirit and the kindness you showed will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew you.

Rest in peace, Lauren. You’ll be missed more than words can express, and you’ll always hold a special place in my heart.

Laur,

She was the one and only Lauren, truly unique. Thank you, Laur, for teaching me so much and for the experiences we shared together—experiences I will never forget.

I remember the times when I asked her for beauty tips, or how she taught me to do my makeup. The time, when many times you came to Barcelona and we had so many adventures. Adventures in Paris, Switzerland uncountable memories. Those are just some of the little things she showed me.

She always told me to believe in myself and to protect my sweet soul. Laur, I promise you that I will never change.

I’m sending you so much love, wherever you are, as I know you’re with your sister, receiving the love of everyone who cared for you.

Lauren,

I'll always remember the first time we met in Mexico City with Samantha; introducing me to your mothet Ms. Gayle in Toronto, and the countless times we had the chance to meet in London.
