I always remember the days when I was a teenager from Jamaica that went to study in university in Canada. It was such a pleasure to visit my Uncle Gerald, Aunty Laurel and cousins Adrian and Peter. Home cooking was also an awesome treat.
May you Rest In Peace.

The best way to describe Aunty Laurel : Sweet, kind, straight forward.
Always welcoming whenever we visited.
We will miss her.

Laurel Cawley was born in Jamaica to John and Blanca Davis. John Davis died when she was a very young child and with her brother the late Neville John Davis and Alva Davis grew up having Blanca working to support her children after the Cuban Revolution alone.
Laurel married Gerald Cawley and had a family always working hard to help support the family.
In 1970 the family immigrated to Canada where she worked at many jobs from a dry cleaner to Wal-Mart.
After Laurel lost her mom and then Gerald she continued to work up until 2015 when she fell and became ill.
Over the years her health continued to deteriorate but she maintained her humor to the end.
