In memory of

Lai Jan Cho

September 11, 1931 -  August 4, 2020

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Lai Jan Cho, age 89, on August 4th 2020 due to chronic kidney disease.

Lai Jan was a loving wife to the late Mr. Shing Chow, remarkable mother to 5 children Alfred (Yin), Stanley (Sandy), Patrick (Man Yee), Nancy (Fred) and Theresa ; grandmother to 10 grandchildren; and great-grandmother to 4. Lai Jan was a smart, gentle and loving lady, with strong, determined, kind and generous soul. She will be missed, was deeply loved by her family and friends, and will be remembered forever for her warm and loving nature. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a century’s worth of life, love and dedication to her family.

Lai Jan was born in Hong Kong on September 11, 1931, working hard and successfully in Hong Kong for over 25 years. She took good care of her family and embraced them together with love. She moved to Toronto in 1994. She came to know Christ and was a loving daughter of God. She got baptized in 2011 and became a devoted Christian. The “Lord’s Prayer” was her favourite and she used to have it every night before going to sleep.

Unfortunately due to the current COVID-19 situation, there will be no visitation or public funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Margaret Bahen Hospice. Funds could be forwarded in cheque addressed to Theresa Chow at 628-25 Water Walk Drive, Markham ON L6G 0G3.

Aunty,

Last year we met briefly at Toronto and we chatted. You looked great though much older and weaker. You remembered me and we chatted a bit about the old times. You had very good memory.

That was our final earthly gathering but we will meet again heaven. You are in God's gracious hands, watching us. May God grant the transcending peace to Theresa and the rest of the family as they lost the precious you.

We will miss you heaps. Rest In Peace.
