Markham, ON —Kwing-Kin Kinson Chan passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2021 in Markham, Ontario.

Kwing-Kin was born in Hong Kong in 1933 and immigrated to Canada in 1969 together with his wife (Jane), daughter (Grace) and son (David). His daughter, Ruth was born shortly after in Toronto, ON.

In his earlier days, he worked as a tailor and a merchant. After moving to Canada, he entered the plastic injection moulding industry and learned various trades, finally retiring as a mechanic/technician in the 1990’s. In his retirement, he enjoyed travelling to Hong Kong, China, Regina and Vancouver.

He is survived by his son, David from Toronto and his daughter, Ruth (Ken), and grandchildren, Samuel, Jenna and Isaac from Regina. He also leaves behind an older sister, a younger sister and brother-in-law, and a niece and nephews in Toronto. He was pre-deceased by his younger brother last October.

A private family service celebrating Kinson’s life, will be presided by Rev Peter Mah at York Cemetery & Funeral Centre in North York, on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10:30 am.

Over the years, the family has been richly blessed by all the support and prayers from dear family, friends and the Logos Baptist Church and the Milliken Christian Community Church. Interment will occur following the memorial service.
