Kwai Yung Chan
February 4, 1918 - March 6, 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kwai Yung Chan. Kwai Yung passed away peacefully in her sleep at Mon Sheong Long Term Care on Friday March 6, 2015.
Born in Yanping, China, Kwai Yung came from a family of two siblings. In 1978, she immigrated from Hong Kong to Canada with her beloved husband, the late Dick Kam and two of her nine children.
Survived by her sister, Yuk Tong Ho, Kwai Yung is now reunited with her late husband Dick Kam. Kwai Yung was a devoted mother to Rita (Kam Kwan) Ng; David (Wai Man); Tony (Ardyce); Teresa, Anna, Joseph (Loretta); Mary (Tony) Chan, Peter (Lily) and Magdalene (Russell) Sugimura. Beloved Grandma to Henry (Judy) Ng, Linda (David) Leung , Fred Ng, Veronica Chan (Eric Lo), Stephen (Tanna) Chan, Andrew (Linda) Ng, Matthew, Tiffany and Michelle Chan, Paul and David Sugimura; Great Grandmother to Joshua and Deborah Ng. Kwai Yung was a kind, gentle and considerate person and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
