In memory of

January 4, 1962 -  October 9, 2022

Kris Yau Kuen Chau passed on October 9, 2022 at the age of 60. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Tin Yi Chau, his son, Blair Jordan Chau, and his daughter, Chloe Chau. He is also survived by four sisters and one brother. He will be remembered as the best husband, father, brother, co-worker and friend.

He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters in Electrical Engineering, and worked in oil and gas pipeline control winning many company awards for his work, dedication, and leadership. Kris was not only good at his job, but wanted to help anyone he came across.

Kris would always diligently take care of his responsibilities and his family, but he was also quirky, fun-loving and a kid at heart. He always loved bringing joy and happiness to everyone. Let us send him off with a smile and all the heartfelt blessings from the bottom of our hearts.

Although we only met again only once few years ago before the pandemic through a gathering dinner in Markham along with a number of other friends from the Chinese Library Association, I was so impressed with your speech and beautiful voice.
So sad to see you go. You will be missed by all of us.

Kris is a long time friend with Brenda during the 4 Seas Radio era. Kris and Sarah intro us to his wedding videographer Hays and Penny for our own wedding 35 years ago and started a lifelong friendship between Brenda and Penny. Kris, through work also had met on a few occasions at my Gov of Alberta office when his company was responsible to install the e- signs on Hwy 2 between Calgary and Edmonton for Alberta Transportation. Our two families had visited each other over the years and exchanged experience in raising kids. Kris had always been a kind, helpful, resourceful person and a great friend; he will be sorely missed. May Kris Rest In Peace.
