Koula O'Brien

February 27, 1936 -  June 8, 2023

Peacefully at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Koula was born on February 27, 1936, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Loula Prassas, her sister Matina Chrones, and her husband George William O’Brien. Koula will be greatly missed by her devoted sister Georgia Prassas, her niece Eleni Smolen (David), her godson and nephew Tom Chrones, her nephew Dr. Jamie Chrones (Adele Weder) their daughters Julia and Natalie Weder and her dearest cousin Ellie Saitis.

Koula’s memory will be cherished by her closest family friends - Dr. Yvonne Verbeeten and Reverend Kenneth Moy. Known for her zest for life and the joy of sharing special occasions with family and friends, Koula will be remembered as an elegant and gracious woman who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Respecting Koula’s wishes, a private cremation will be held at the Mount Pleasant Crematorium in Toronto.

Deepest sympathy to Georgia and all of Koula's many friends. Koula was a kind and caring person who helped me greatly in dealing with my sister Margaret's illness.. She visited every day till the very end. She is gone but never forgotten.
