Kiyoshi Kitagawa

March 7, 1924 -  January 1, 2023

Passed away peacefully in Oakville on January 1, 2023, at the age of 98. Beloved husband to Pauline Kitagawa (nee Gibbons). Loving father to Michael (Dianne), Tim (Ceilidh) and Kimi (David). Cherished grandfather to Matthew, Tiffany, Kelly, Victoria, Cameron and Jared. He will be missed by his sister, Amy Yatabe.

Kit was born in Vancouver, B.C in 1924. He was a proud athlete, active YMCA participant, WWII Canadian Army Veteran and 27 year employee of the Canadian General Electric Davenport Works.

Private cremation arrangements will be arranged by The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, Mississauga.

Friends are welcome to join the family to celebrate Kit’s life on Saturday January 7th. 2023, from 2 – 4 p.m. at Seasons Brasserie, 134 Lakeshore Rd E, Oakville, ON L6J 1H4 seasonsbrasserie.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Mike, i always enjoyed every conversation i had with your Dad. I remember sitting on the dock at the cottage listening to him telling me the story of what he did during WWII.
