King Wah Fong
June 4, 1938 -
April 25, 2024
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. King Wah Fong, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the North York General Hospital on Thursday, April 25, 2024, following a short battle with colon cancer. His memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
King journeyed through life with grace and resilience. He married his beautiful wife Wendy in Hong Kong in December 1965. In 1966, he and his wife moved to Toronto, Canada and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. Family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he poured his life into nurturing his four children: Mabel (Yick), Betty (Michael), Lily (Stephen), and Lisa (Steve). His legacy lives on through his eight grandchildren (Melanie, Jessica, Melissa, Brian, Sophia, Eric, Alexandra, and Justin) who have brought him immense pride and joy.
King dedicated over 20 years of his life to the Women’s College Hospital where he served diligently until retirement. Beyond his professional endeavors, he found fulfillment in the simple pleasures of life. He had an eye for beauty and delighted in expressing his creativity through cooking, dancing, tending to his garden and aquarium. He found tranquility amidst nature, his beautiful plants, flowers, fish, and birds. He was an excellent chef and loved dancing and taking daily walks with his loving wife.
Though he may have left this world, King's legacy of love, kindness and devotion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love he so freely gave during his lifetime.
King will be laid to rest at a private funeral service.
