In memory of

Kevin Paul Church

July 23, 1963 -  October 13, 2023

Kevin Church's travels and adventures sadly ended on October 13, 2023. After a year long battle with cancer, he died peacefully at home with his wife Jane and their dogs Spud and Annie by his bedside.
In 1991 Kevin met Jane, and fell instantly, madly in love. He more than lived up to his marriage vow that life with Kev would never be boring. Together they enjoyed a life filled with travel and adventure. Kev's last count was 38 countries. As a child he backpacked through Europe with his mother and brothers, then again on his honeymoon with Jane. This was followed by adventures living, teaching and travelling in the U.S.A and U.K. Motorcycle trips through Europe and Canada, a trip around the world in 2018 and so much more. Kev cherished his summers in P.E.I., enjoying walks on the beach with the yorkies, Audrey’s baking, campfires, tending to Audrey’s gardens and time spent with family and friends.
Kevin began working with children in 1984 and continued in a variety of roles until beginning his teaching career in 1996. Kevin was an “educator” and positively impacted so many lives in the classroom because of his ability to create an outstanding learning environment. Kevin loved being with his students, using his unique sense of humour to befriend and encourage, and then to push the students to achieve their very best. The stories of Mr. Church will echo around the world as his students achieve great things.
Kev left this world knowing he had lived a life full of love, family, friends, travel, career and so many wonderful adventures. He had a presence about him that will be remembered by everyone he encountered. When you think of Kev, so many images come to mind: biggest heart, husband, son, brother, uncle, mentor, loyal friend, onesie, tilly hat, minions, and so much more.
Kevin is survived by his true love of 30 years, Jane (Glover) and their fur babies, Spud and Annie. He will be missed by his beloved mother Mary (Bolger) Church. Forever loved and remembered by his 3 older brothers, Michael (Sandra) Church, Brian (France) Church, Sean (Carol) Church and younger brother Tim (Ashley) Church. He was a cherished uncle to all his nieces, nephews and great nieces. His extended family included his close friends, in-laws, uncles, aunts and cousins. Kev is predeceased by his father Michael Church.
In lieu of flowers please donate to a local charity that helps kids or families in need. Kev always liked to keep his charitable giving close to home and sponsored a local school family at Christmas.
I would like to thank everyone for the love and support that Kev and I received from our family and friends over the years. Thank you to the Higgins and Flynns who assisted in writing this obituary.
