In memory of

Kevin "Bonk" Joseph Dwyer

June 1, 1943 -  August 22, 2020

With immense sadness, we announce the passing of our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and friend on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the age of 77. Kevin died at home surrounded by his family at the end of a brave battle. A proud family man, he will be missed forever by his wife Lois, daughters Kim (Mike), Darla (Andrew) and Pam (Mike), their mother Bea, grandchildren Jack, Katie, Lucy and Eddie, and favourite grandpup Dooly. Survived by sister Anne. Predeceased by son Paul, parents John and Catherine, siblings Andy, Helen, John (Curley), Father Lloyd and Verna. A long and successful career at Kawneer resulted in many lifelong friendships and specifically a special bond with boss, mentor and golf buddy Jim Cowdy (Pappy). Kevin loved to dance, had a passion for golf and loved to watch sports or play online poker until the wee hours. He was a generous and thoughtful man who always put others ahead of himself, even during these last few months. Kevin will be loved and dearly missed forever by his family near and far, and by his many, many friends. A Celebration of Life will be planned and details will be provided when restrictions are lifted. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or your local hospice.

“It’s been a 3-shirter!”

xoxo

Lois and family, again I wish to express my sorrow on the loss of my uncle Kev, he was a great guy and very compassionate, especially when we were dealing with the loss of his brother Rev. Father Lloyd Dwyer, he gave me loads of support, I appreciate you and him throughout that time, I hope you and your family have lots of support and love

Beautiful tribute. Kevin was present for every milestone moment in Mileo and my life. We will miss that so much but he is at peace.

Kevin was a kind and caring man who loved all his family. He was a great support to me when my brother was ill and passed away. Sending love and support to all his family.

Lois,
Dan and I are saddened to have learned of Kevin's passing. When I remember Kawneer and the "good-old-days" Kevin was in a lot of them. He truly cared about others and was a good listener. I sent you a personal card and letter with my further thoughts.
Our prayers are with you and your family,
Dan & Marjorie
