In Loving Memory of Kerry McGuire
December 5, 1980 – August 1, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Kerry McGuire on August 1, 2025, at the age of 44.

Kerry was a beloved and devoted mother to Owen (10) and Isla (7), wife to Robert Aiken, and loving daughter of Denise and Austin McGuire. She will be profoundly missed by her brother Joey McGuire, sisters-in-law Laura Aiken and Kate McGuire, and her parents-in-law Geoff and Wendy Aiken. Her passing is also mourned by her extended family and the many dear friends whose lives she touched so deeply. A proud member of the Timiskaming First Nation, Kerry carried her heritage with grace and pride throughout her life.

She studied at Carleton University in Ottawa and went on to build a successful career in banking, specializing in credit risk management with CIBC, TD, and Scotiabank. Professionally and personally, Kerry approached everything she did with care, precision, and a deep desire to do things well, and was known for her integrity, diligence, and sharp intellect.

Kerry lived life with passion and curiosity. She was an avid traveler who found joy in exploring new cultures and relaxing on beautiful beaches. At home, she was a gifted baker and talented chef who delighted in experimenting with new recipes in pursuit of perfection. Her love of books, poetry, and thoughtful conversation reflected her inquisitive nature.

Dance held a special place in her heart, both as a former dancer and devoted admirer. In recent years, she developed a love for photography, capturing moments with the same creativity and care she brought to every part of her life.

Kerry’s generous spirit, warmth, and unwavering dedication to those she loved will be forever remembered. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated, by visiting the donation tab on this page.

A memorial service will take place at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd., Toronto on Saturday, August 23rd at 1pm, with reception to follow.

My dearest Kerry — someone I’ve known for more than half my life — was my sister’s best friend. And now, two years after we lost Nas so suddenly, Kerry has joined her. I find comfort in the thought that these two beautiful souls are together again, reunited with my dad, whom Kerry also knew and loved.

Kerry was always there for me. I knew I could turn to her for anything, especially after Nas passed. In those painful moments, we grew even closer. Her kindness, her gentleness, and her quiet strength meant the world to me — and her presence will be deeply missed.

I love you, Kerry.

To Bob, Isla, Owen, and the rest of Kerry’s family — my heart is with you. I’m sending you all my love and strength during this time.
