In memory of

Kenneth Barrington Bedford

May 2, 1941 -  January 21, 2018

Kenneth Barrington Bedford affectionately known as Ken Bedford, crossed over January 2018, surrounded by his wife and children in Mississauga, Ontario.

He was born in Kingston, Jamaica and attended Kingston Technical High School. In his early years he learned to appreciate the benefits of hard work. To further his aspirations, he decided to migrate to Canada in 1969.

Ken leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife Yvonne, daughter Renee, and his son Lucien, along with his grandchildren Xavier, Laila, and Destin. He also leaves behind his sister Blossom Bedford, nieces Phyllis, and Sissy Jarett; along with many extended family members. Ken took great pride in being a father and grandfather. His grandchildren will miss their “Papa,” dearly.

For the majority of his working career he was employed by McDonald Douglas and later Boeing; which was directly related to one of his personal interests and hobbies, airplanes; a passion he later shared with his children, nieces, and nephews.

Ken was a dedicated husband and loving father who was devoted to his family. In retirement he was able to reconnect with his church community and made meaningful lasting friendships. He spent a great deal of time with his grandchildren, time which he valued and cherished.

Ken will be deeply missed, always loved, and forever cherished.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in remembrance of Ken Bedford. Charitable Registration No. 106846942 RR0001
