In memory of

Kaye Kikuko Inose

September 29, 1924 -  December 8, 2017

It is with great sadness that we, the Inose-Tsaparis family, wish to inform you of the passing of Kaye Kikuko Inose (Tokawa) in the comfort of her home on December 8, 2017. After 93 years of a life well lived, being the beloved wife of the late James Inose, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Cheryl and Paul, cherished Bachan of Alex, and devoted Auntie Kaye to many nieces and nephews and their families, Kaye peacefully fell into a deep sleep and is now being reunited with her husband Jimmy and her siblings Torao, Minoru (Tose), Hisako (Saburo), Matahara, Haruno, Arata (Timi), Toru (Betty), Hiruko, Osamu (Yuki), and Kazuko.

Kaye was born in Vancouver, B.C. on September 29, 1924. Being one of the youngest of a large family, Kaye maintained her "young at heart" spirit throughout her life. She was a very supportive person who hosted family gatherings and lovingly cared for many nieces and nephews over the years. Her passion in life was unquestionably her love in being with her grandson everyday and to be surrounded by family and friends daily, during holidays, and other social gatherings. Kaye loved family vacations which included long family drives to picnics, short day trips, and worldwide adventures. She was a wonderful cook, a skilled and creative knitter, a voracious reader, and an avid card and games player. Whenever Kaye was given a task, she would get right to it with great speed, precision, and high quality. She always provided sage advice to anyone who had the good fortune to sit down at the table with her. Kaye's ability to have engaging conversations and to connect with people of all ages came naturally. She will always be remembered by her welcoming smile, easy laugh and generous heart, which enabled her to make friends effortlessly.

Our sincere thanks go to Dr. Joey Grevler, Kirsten, and Bernadette from the Glengrove Medical Centre for their constant compassionate care; to Dr. Tomas Novak for his loving care and family support and to Shelia Sobremonte, a kindred spirit who cared for and shared laughter with Kaye everyday.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Kaye's life on Saturday, December 30th from 2 pm to 5 pm at the York Funeral Centre, located on 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto (North of Sheppard, West of Yonge, 416-221-3404). Should anyone wish to share any loving memories of Kaye, please post your thoughts on this web site on the guestbook page. In lieu of flowers, and to honour Kaye, please extend an act of kindness that will bring a smile and warm the heart of another or donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Kaye's memory.

With love,
Cheryl, Paul and Alex

Athough I had only met Kaye a few times in the past few years, her kind, helpful nature shone through. It sounds like she had a very full life and was truly blessed to have a daughter who cared and loved her so much and a son-in-law and grandson whom Kaye adored.

Kaye was a very special women who will be missed by us all. Over the many years I have known her, meeting Kaye was always a pleasure. She would welcome me with a happy smile and would always spend time and ask about how I was doing. I was always impressed with how many activities she would engage in to keep herself happy; she loved to be reading a book, playing cards, doing puzzles, watching tv or having something to eat. Over many lunches at the house, we would laugh and talk as Cheryl was making us both lunch. She was a strong women and mother who created a beautiful and loving daughter, mother and friend. Cheryl is a testament to the love and happiness she received from Kaye. My heart is saddened by Kaye's passing but is singing with joy knowing she was so happy and so well cared for by Cheryl, Paul and Alex until her very last day. I am so sorry not to be there to Celebrate Kaye's wonderful life.
