Kathryn Ann Anderson, beloved daughter of Jack and Audrey Donegan, devoted wife to Robert Anderson, and cherished mother to her daughter Krista (Jamie) and her loving son, Kyle. She passed away peacefully at her home on May 21st, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones, who will forever hold her dear in their hearts.
Born on March 2, 1955 Kathryn led a remarkable life filled with love and countless cherished memories. Her warm spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a loving grandmother to Adrian and Ashton O'Donnell, she embraced her role with boundless affection, nurturing them with unconditional love and showering them with joy.
Kathryn had a zest for life. She embarked on some travels in her life. From the vibrant energy of the Calgary Stampede alongside her husband, to the breathtaking shores of the East Coast and California with her beloved Robert, BC with her dear friend Susan and venturing as far as Scotland with Janice and Australia with her friend Dawn to visit Krista and Jamie, And the kangaroos. Kathryn made many memories along the way.
Throughout her journey, Kathryn cultivated an extensive network of friends, a testament to her warm and compassionate nature. Her genuine interest in others led her to invest quality time in each friendship, creating lasting bonds that brought immense joy to her life. Whether basking in the Florida sun, spending cherished moments with her Campbell family at the cottage, or the Donegan reunions, Kathryn valued the importance of connection and made it a priority.
For over 40 years, Kathryn dedicated her professional life to General Electric, contributing her talents and commitment to the company. She left an indelible mark on her professional community, and her lifelong GE friendships.
She spent summers at the cottage that held a special place in Kathryn's heart. Surrounded by loved ones, she relished in the simple joys of life, engaging in spirited games of euchre, eating pies and butter tarts and creating cherished memories with her family. The cottage was a haven where laughter, love, and togetherness prevailed, and Kathryn cherished every moment spent in that embrace.
Kathryn's incredible cousins, friends, neighbors, and work buddies were dear to her heart and she brought warmth and comfort to all fortunate enough to know her.
She was a proud, loving mother and a grandmother. She embraced her children and grandchildren with unwavering support, guidance, and love. Kathryn's legacy of love and nurturing will continue to inspire and shape the lives of her family for generations to come.
Kathryn's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved her. Her strength and resilience in the face of adversity were awe-inspiring, and she faced life's challenges with unwavering courage and without complaint. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
