In memory of

Katherine Gibson

September 18, 1961 -  November 26, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine (Kathy) Gibson, who passed away peacefully on November 26th, 2024 at the age of 63 at Markham Stouffville Hospital. Although heavy-hearted, we are grateful that in her final moments, Kathy was surrounded by close family and friends. Survived by her loving mother, Eleni Sipidias, and reunited in heaven with her father, James Sipidias. Loving sister to Nick Sipidias and cherished aunt to her niece and nephew, Jackie and Cole.
Kathy was born at Michael Garron Hospital (formerly Toronto East General Hospital) and raised in Scarborough, Ontario by her loving parents, Eleni and James Sipidias. She grew up and had a beautiful childhood alongside her brother, Nick Sipidias, as well as numerous cousins and friends. Throughout her academic career, Kathy's commitment to her education was evident as she received straight A's in every subject. She took to many interests, including relay racing in grade school, and had a profound love for music, especially Donny Osmond. She was extremely intelligent and was passionate about learning and sharing her wisdom with those willing to listen. She was witty, caring, loyal, and above all, will be remembered for her kind-heartedness and desire to help those around her. Her selflessness will never be forgotten, and will be used as inspiration for generations to come.
Kathy was a phenomenal daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. Her memory will be forever cherished.

Visitation will be held at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 at 11AM, and a funeral service to follow at 12PM.

I was heartbroken to hear that Kathy lost her fight with cancer. I have known Kathy from a very young age and will miss her beautiful face and wicked wit. Always calling it like it is. Give them hell Kathy.
God Bless
