Katerina (Catherine) Katsoris

Surrounded by her family and loved ones, Katerina died peacefully on February 5th, 2025. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, George and their children Ted (Toula) and John (Kelly). She was a very proud and devoted grandmother to George, Chris, Katerina, Michael (Yiorgo), and Alex. Katerina was raised in a large family with six other siblings and will be missed by her many nephews and nieces, their families, and her surviving sibling, Despina. She will also be missed by her close and dear friends Maria Francia Nacario and Marlene Sitchon- Ketutdjati. Both were with her in her final moments and the family is forever grateful for their care and support. Katerina grew up in a small picturesque village surrounded by thousands of olive trees in southern Greece. Having lived through the Second World War and a civil war that followed, life was not always easy. In 1959, she moved to Canada and met the love of her life, George. They were married and active members at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Toronto. Her devotion was entirely to her family. Katerina will be remembered by family and friends as someone with a lot of passion who loved conversation and kept many entertained with stories and humour. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 8, 2025 at St George Greek Orthodox Church, 115 Bond St., Toronto at 12pm followed by a memorial service at 1pm. Internment and reception will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery and Funeral Centre. If desired, donations can be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Toronto.
