In memory of

Karl Peter Schneider

December 9, 1930 -  December 9, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Karl Schneider
announce his passing, on his 91st birthday.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 69 years,
Rosa, his children and their spouses:
Susan (Mark), Steven (Cheryl), and Karen (Alan). Much-loved
Opi, will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Kevin,
Eric, Leanne, Garrett and Keenan.

Karl was a proud, industrious, and endearing man, who
accomplished much in his lifetime. His formative years
were spent in Mannheim (Neckarau), Germany, of which
he would speak fondly of. In 1951 he immigrated to Canada
and worked in northern Ontario. He married Rosa a year
later and together they raised a loving family in “The Rouge”.

Karl had a fulfilling and successful career in the automotive/aircraft
manufacturing industry. He worked as a general manager for
VR Wesson and as an independent business owner of
B&B Carbide Grinding.

Karl enjoyed the outdoors and was a keen sports enthusiast.
Fishing, swimming, sailing, tennis, running, cycling,
and skiing were some of the many activities he pursued.
Spending time with family, telling stories, reading, Rosa’s
cooking, watching sports, and a good beer, made him happy.

Karl/Dad/Opi will forever be lovingly remembered.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Karl’s life.

The family gratefully thanks Dr. R. Colwill and the Oncology Clinic
staff at Scarborough General Hospital for their compassionate care
over the last few years.
