In memory of

王馮錦容 Kam Yung Wong

February 1, 1948 -  November 9, 2020

It is with great sadness and much love we announce that Kam Yung Wong passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 9, 2020 at the age of 72 years. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be forever in our hearts.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Hok Ling Wong of 48 years, son and his wife James and Carmen Wong, daughter and her husband Julia and Sommay Souphanya, brothers and sisters of the Fung Family and their spouses, brothers- and sisters-in-law of the Wong family and their spouses, many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.

Kam was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. Her husband and children were her world and she wanted nothing more for them than to lead happy and healthy lives. Her unconditional love, care, and support will never be forgotten. She also cherished and loved each and every one of her extended family, who all respected her greatly. Kam always had a way of bringing the families closer together. Her devotion and generosity will always be remembered.

Kam is the strongest woman we know who was not afraid of anyone or anything. Her take charge and optimistic nature allowed her to always see the best in people and life. She never hesitated to speak her mind and tell you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Her warmth, kindness, honesty and enthusiasm will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her family and friends.

The family would like to thank the healthcare team at Sunnybrook Hospital for the exception care during Kam’s courageous and hard fought battle with cancer.

Due to current public health restrictions, a private funeral will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre on November 20th, 2020.
