Harjit was among the first colleagues I had in Canada after I had immigrated from India. In more ways than he would care to acknowledge, he helped me understand Canada and Indo-Canadians, and the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, where we worked together for five years.
Harjit was decency personified; soft-spoken, humble, but always decisive and firm. He preferred to work quietly in the background, letting others take centerstage. Non-hierarchical in his dealing, he preferred to focus on you.
When I met him on 27 September, he spoke to me about my health and my ailment, nothing about himself. I wish I had spoken to him for a longer time.
My deepest and the sincerest condolences to all his near and dear ones.
Commend his involvement in charity and community work. Very likeable person. Shocked and will miss him
It has been my privilege and honour to interact with Harjit over the past two decades. A gem of a person, his views reflected a very thoughtful position with well articulated rationale. His passion for doing things right, was paramount to him. As a fellow director on the ICCC Board (albeit during different times), I admire his long-term contributions to the Chamber, even well past his long tenure.
We will miss his cheerful personality and calm disposition.
Vaidehi and I convey our deepest condolences to Kiran and the family.
May his soul rest in peace and eternity.
May his soul Rest In Peace.
His untimely demise is big loss to community, society and specially to friends
Our deepest condolences to the family.
