In memory of

李啟平先生 Kai Ping Lee

April 5, 1937 -  December 30, 2023

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Kai Ping Lee on December 30, 2023, peacefully in the comfort of his home, at the age of 86 years. A civil engineer and dedicated public servant, he was a devoted husband and cherished the time spent and accomplishments of each of his grandchildren.

Survived by his beloved wife Mildred Lee, his two daughters and son-in-laws, Wendy (Grant) and Jenny (David). He was dearly loved and greatly missed by his grandchildren, Timothy, Rachel, Matthew, Nathaniel, Gabriel and Annalicia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Scarborough Health Network Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Due to the season and higher rate of respiratory illness within the community, the family would like to request that all guests wear a mask during the service to limit the risk of transmission.

Please call or text Miranda Leung at 416-318-8252 to confirm your name(s) and number of attendees for a light reception after the grave site burial at York Cemetary, as catering arrangements need to be finalized by the morning of Friday, January 5th, 2024.

Wendy and Jenny. I will always have fond memories of your dad. He played a part in my upbringing...and I am grateful for that. He will be missed and for sure remembered. May God gave you and your families strength through this time.

Dear 'Auntie', Wendy, Jenny and Family,

We are saddened by the loss of your beloved life partner, father, grandfather and family member. Our families have been tied as church family for over 5 decades, and we cherish our long-time friendship. I've always had deep respect for 'uncle'. We will remember him fondly and pray for God's strength and comforting embrace during this challenging time.

We can't make the pain go away, but we're here with a shoulder to lean on or an ear or anything else you may need. May the memories forever live within our hearts. <3

With heartfelt sympathies,
Wynne & David

To Auntie Mildred, Wendy & Grant, Jenny & David and families,

Jeff and I remember Uncle Kai Ping with fondness and deep affection. Uncle Kai Ping was a genial and positive presence and force, and whenever we met him, he would greet us with his signature smile and warmth. We want you to know, we are lifting you up in our prayers. We pray that God will be a strong comfort and loving Father to you during these difficult first days, and that He will remind you of His Soverign goodness and steadfast hope. We mourn with you from Ottawa but you are in our hearts. Know how beloved your husband and father was to all who knew him.
-In Christ's love,
Marian Kwok and Jeffrey Chan
