In memory of

Junior L. Thompson

February 10, 1959 -  January 20, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Junior Lloyd Thompson announce his sudden passing on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the age of 64. Junior is predeceased by his father Ernest Thompson, mother Amy Spalding, brother Paul Thompson, and his daughter Monique Thompson.

He is survived by his brother Michael and family, Owen (Irun and family) and sister Janet (Junior and family).

Junior will be lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia (Julianne), Nathaniel
and family, Shushan (Meleik, Malia, and Malachi), Jenna-Kaye (Michael and Jasmine), Nicholas & family, Marlon and numerous other family members and close friends.

Junior Lloyd Thompson was born on February 10, 1959 in Kingston, Jamaica. He immigrated to Canada in January 1989. Junior had many special talents and hobbies. He enjoyed spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. His love for home renovation kept him busy and active. Junior had a great sense of humour and could always put a smile on anyone's face, even in the toughest of times. He had a way of bringing lightness and joy to any situation, and his laughter was infectious. He was always there to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. He had a zest for life and made sure he lived it to the fullest. In addition he was part of a very special group of gentlemen called the Five Star Generals, who gathered weekly to play Dominoes that lasted into the wee hours of the morning.

Thank you to his care providers Dr. J. Peck, Dr. V. Ki, and Dr. T. Rebane and all the emergency room staff at Credit Valley Hospital along with all the EMS providers.

Thank you to all of Junior’s extended family and friends near and far, for the endless support and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trillium Health Network in memory of Junior L. Thompson.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of my dear friend Junior. He was truly one of a kind. The most kind, caring and compassionate man I've known. He was an inspiration to his friends and his family. Even though you may not be a part of his immediate family, he treated you like he was. I will always cherish our friendship and you will be missed dearly. May you rest in peace my friend, until we meet again.
