Nana, it's hard to find the words to express my feelings. You have always been around so to think you will not be anymore is hard to fathom. You always carried yourself with such grace and elegance. I will always admire how independent, articulate, well read, intelligent and fabulously dressed you were. You always took great pride in how you presented yourself to the world, and had an effortless sense of style. I remember when I was a kid and young teen, you often knew the trends before I did. You always kept yourself up to date on politics and everything that was going on in the world. Your passion for reading is something you passed down to me, for which I will always be grateful. I am so thankful for all of the beautiful books you bought me over the years, that I have passed down and shared with Sienna.
I'll always remember dressing up in your clothes when I was a little girl, wearing your high heels and admiring your jewelry (especially the dangly earrings). Thank you for always taking me to the pool near your apartment building every summer, several times a week, even though you didn't like swimming, you knew I did and let me play and swim for hours. After swimming you always bought me ice cream and treats at the store next door. You always took me shopping at the OC, followed by Mrs Vanelli's pizza and a movie. You always had something new to show me or an exciting place to take me. I'll always remember your three cats, Nemo, Dylan and Jimi and how much you adored them. They were lucky to have been loved and cared for by you. Every Christmas and birthday you always gave the most unique and thoughtful gifts, always wrapped with such care and beautiful paper and matching bows.

Those years certainly went by fast, but I'll always cherish all the many memories we've shared for the rest of my life. I am glad you are no longer in pain and are happy to be reunited with all of your friends and loved ones that have already passed on. Thank you for always loving me unconditionally. Until we meet again, love you Nana xoxo

My condolences go out to June Thompson's family and friends.
I taught at West Lynde Public School when June was the librarian. She enjoyed her work in the library, walked briskly down the halls, and was always stylishly dressed. For many years, June would join a group of retired teachers from West Lynde, often monthly, for meals in restaurants or at people's homes.
She was a real lady and was always kind, caring, and considerate. We will miss her.

June played a very important position on the Concert Board through her ability to get outstanding artists to perform at our concerts. Since I was the President for a number of years I worked very closely with her. We travelled to Toronto for meetings with the music community and their agents. She was a good friend and a supporter of my art.
