Dr. Julio Cesar Devargas, aka Tio Julio, was one of my father's earliest best friend. More importantly, I adored him. Julio had verve, humour, style and was one of the most generous, vivacious Torontonians I knew. I grew up in his beaming lovely presence, part of the Devargas clan. I was hard-broken when Julio became ill in his 80s. I'm grateful for having known Tio Julio and I cherish his beautiful spirit in my heart. The Creator already blessed him by making him such as he was. May he bask in glory. Love to the Devargas family.
