Judy McFatridge, born in Weston, Ontario, on September 30th, 1953, passed away peacefully on
Thursday, January 25th, 2024 with her family by her side, after bravely facing a
battle with cancer. Predeceased by the late Clifton McFatridge (2015). Judy’s life, marked by love, resilience, and a zest for living, touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Cherished daughters, Laura (Barbara), Joanna and Michelle (Nasser). Siblings, Lorraine (deceased), Carine, Deb (John), Ed (Maureen), Mark (deceased) and Rose (Stan). Nieces Cheryl-
Lynn (Gord) (Madison, Taylor, Samantha), Leanne (Kevin), Dallas (Luke) (Cloe and
Abigail), Robyn, Sarah, Michael, Marilyn and Sandra; and her pups Preston and Layla, each of
whom shared in the joys and sorrows of life alongside her.
The light of Judy’s life was undoubtedly her beloved and cherished grandsons, Jamie and Charlie.
Their laughter and boundless energy brought immeasurable joy to Judy’s heart and life,
creating a tapestry of love and warmth that defined her role as a grandmother (Nanny).
Judy enjoyed countless and cherished annual sister trips to Florida, where
laughter echoed, libations flowed and bonds were strengthened. These annual
gatherings became a source of joy and camaraderie, creating lasting memories that
will be cherished by her siblings forever and stood as a testament to the strength of family ties.
Judy also cultivated deep and enduring friendships, particularly with her close
girlfriends. Together, they shared countless moments of laughter, support, and
shared experiences that enriched Judy’s life and added a special warmth to her journey.
As we reflect on Judy’s life, let us celebrate the love she shared, the bonds she
forged, and the enduring spirit that defined her existence. May she rest in peace,
her memory living on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be
touched by her warmth and grace. She will be missed.
A funeral visitation for Judy will be held on Friday February 2nd, 2024 from 4-8 PM, at The Simple
Alternative Funeral Home located at 1535 S Gateway Rd, Mississauga, ON L4W
5J1. A Celebration of Life will be held, TBD, in Newfoundland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
