In memory of

Judy Chin Kuen (Kwan) Chow

October 14, 1942 -  November 27, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Judy Chin Kuen (Kwan) Chow announces her passing after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday November 27, 2020, at the age of 78 years.

Judy was born in 1942 in Hoiping, China, moving to Hong Kong as a child, before immigrating to Canada in 1963 with her mother and father, Wei Ching Wong and Sun Hup Kwan. Judy assisted in the family laundry business and worked as a data-entry clerk in an insurance company before pausing to start a family. After devotedly raising four children, Judy worked as an office and records clerk for 19 years at Immigration and Citizenship Canada.

Judy was an avid gardener with a love for collecting and nurturing plants. She loved music, was a voracious reader, and doted on her grandchildren. Judy found immense comfort in her faith, and enjoyed the support of her many friends at her church. She had a beautiful smile and inner perseverance that were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Judy will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters: Brenda (Michael), Christine (Edmund), Cindy (Nathan), and Elizabeth (Robert). Judy is also tenderly remembered by her six grandchildren, Emma, Evan, Connor, Reid, Clarice and Gavin, and her siblings, Marion (Kay), Philip (Christina), Mori (Esther), and Henry (Liz), and numerous nephews and nieces.

We are so so sorry for this great loss. Judy was such a beautiful, gentle soul, always ready with a smile whenever we saw her. She has been so so brave and courageous over the past 5 years, and it is so obvious how much she was loved. We will be praying for you all in the coming days, weeks, months ahead. Strength, peace and comfort that can only come from God. Much love to you all.
