Juan Pablo Lopez, beloved father, son, brother and uncle, of Mississauga, Ontario passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 52. Juan is the son of Miguel Angel Lopez Franco and Olga Ofelia Orozco Atehortúa. He is predeceased by his birth mother Sylvia Toro. Juan is survived by his former spouse Eblin Patricia Lopez Henao and daughter Raquel. Juan is also survived by his brothers Marcelo Lopez (Michelle Lopez) and Adrian Lopez (Natalia Velasquez) as well as his nieces Sarah, Isabelle, Sofia and Alicia Lopez. He will also be missed by many of his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in addition to his loving and faithful Cockapoo companion Rosita.

Juan was born in Manizales, Colombia where he spent most of his early childhood before immigrating to Canada. After graduating from high school he went on to specialize in Computer Science and Technology at RCC Institute of Technology. Juan was known for his kind and generous spirit. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always willing to share his love and passion of music, dance and soccer. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

On Friday, July 19, 2024 at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres – Mississauga a visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am which will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and a reception at 12:00 pm. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CAMH – Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Juan's memory.


Juan Pablo López, querido padre, hijo, hermano y tío, de Mississauga, Ontario, falleció el 7 de julio de 2024, a la edad de 52 años. Juan es hijo de Miguel Ángel López Franco y Olga Ofelia Orozco Atehortúa. Le precede en la muerte su madre biológica Sylvia Toro. Juan deja atrás a su exesposa Eblin Patricia López Henao y a su hija Raquel. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Marcelo López (Michelle López) y Adrián López (Natalia Velásquez), así como sus sobrinas Sarah, Isabelle, Sofía y Alicia López. Además, será extrañado por muchas de sus tías, tíos, primos y amigos, además de su amorosa y fiel compañera Cockapoo, Rosita.

Juan nació en Manizales, Colombia, donde pasó la mayor parte de su infancia antes de emigrar a Canadá. Después de graduarse de la escuela secundaria, se especializó en Ciencias de la Computación y Tecnología en el Instituto de Tecnología RCC. Juan era conocido por su espíritu amable y generoso. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos y siempre estaba dispuesto a compartir su amor y pasión por la música, la danza y el fútbol. Será profundamente extrañado por todos los que lo conocieron.

El viernes 19 de julio de 2024 en The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres – Mississauga, se llevará a cabo una visita de 10:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m., seguida por una Celebración de Vida de 11:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. y una recepción a las 12:00 p.m. Si lo desea, en lugar de flores, se pueden hacer donaciones al CAMH – Centro de Adicción y Salud Mental en memoria de Juan.

I am very sad to hear the sad news about Juan. My deepest condolences to Miguel, Olga, Marcelo, Adrian and families. We lost touch quite a while ago but always cherish the beautiful memories our families made oh so many years ago… Sending heartfelt condolences and hugs to all. May he rest in peace.
