In memory of

Joubrail Daoud

January 1, 1933 -  November 24, 2023

Joubrail Slewa Daoud passed peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023, at the age of 90.

He was born in 1933 in the northern city of Duhok, Iraq. In 1975, he married his wife, Raeida (Janet) Kakoz. He was a devoted and loving father to his five children Rana (Shavan), Venus (Ryan), Sandra (Diego), Rany (Taleen) and Samer. Adored and much loved grandfather and Jido to his eleven grandchildren Emanuel, Luca, Isabel, Noah, Elijah, Gabriella, Emilio, Mila (who he named Milanda), Isaiah, Mykah and Antonia (who he named Fiona).

Treasured son of mother Elyshwah and father Slewa. He was the loving brother to predeceased Marie, Amina, Jalila, Jamila, George, Jalal and survived by his youngest sister, Victoria.

In 1990, after the start of the Gulf War, Joubrail decided to relocate his family to Jordan in hopes for a safer future. Five years later, he immigrated his family to Canada where they settled.

If you knew Joubrail, you were truly one of the lucky ones. He was a kind, gentle and loving man with the biggest helping heart. His charisma and strength carried his family through so much. He was courageous, always content and never denied an opportunity to help someone. He was remembered by anyone who crossed paths with him. The biggest joy in his life were his grandchildren who adored him.

He will forever be in our hearts, always remembered, greatly missed and loved for eternity. May he rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to the entire family for their loss .
We all loved Uncle Joubrail, he was an intelligent family oriented loving man. He always greeted us with kindness and generosity , he was more like a father figure to me and another grandfather to my kids. Our fond memories will remain with us always.
May the good Lord watch over and protect the Daoud family always.

Rest In Peace Uncle Joubrail

Sr. Daoud , what a journey from the troubled Middle Eastern world to a safe haven , not knowing what was ahead of him and his young family to peaceful Canada. Lord give his family the strength to overcome his loss.
May his Soul Resit in Peace
