In memory of

Joseph "Joe" Whidden

March 28, 1950 -  May 28, 2024

On Monday May 28th, 2024, Joseph (Joe) Whidden of Brampton, Ontario passed away at the age of 74. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Linda. Brother to Leslie, (Jean), Faye, Gary, and Michael. Stepdad to Dianne and David, (Kristen). Papa to Andrew, Jude, Joshua, and Christoper. Grandpa to Thomas and Connor. Uncle to Steven (Ashley) and Jennifer (Rob). Great-uncle to Alexander, Lauren, Mason, and Brianna. Brother-in-law to Doug and Murray. Uncle to Mandy and her children, Brandon, Mathew, and Tyler.

Joe was born in Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, and will be missed by many of his relatives. He was a By-law enforcement officer at the City of Brampton for 35 years, before his retirement.
He was a close friend to Richard. They spent many hours together enjoying car shows and restoring their corvettes. Joe enjoyed his daily walks in the neighbourhood and was often seen riding his bike.
With his dry sense of humour he made many of us laugh.

A celebration of Joe’s life will take place at Meadowvale Cemetery 7732 Mavis Road, Saturday June 8th. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, followed by a service and reception.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Prostate Cancer or Parkinson’s disease in memory of Joe.

Linda, we were so sorry to hear about Joe’s illness and his untimely passing. We have many fond memories of hanging out at car shows. Joe and I (Lee) shared a passion for Coronation Street. It was lovely to talk about what was happening on the “street”.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family in this difficult time. Keep your good memories close to your heart. They will see you through the hard times .
Our deepest condolences.
