In memory of

Joseph Baring

November 3, 1976 -  January 1, 2025

Joseph James Baring passed away peacefully at home on January 1st, 2025. Born in Toronto, Canada, on November 3rd, 1976, Joseph was the eldest son of Allen and Hidelisa Baring. He was a loving brother to Camy (Asgar), Michelle (Kurt), and David, and a doting uncle to Nathan aka Pooch, Alex aka Moogie, Michael aka Munchie, and Olivia aka BanBan.

Joe’s presence would ignite excitement in any room he entered. People were instantly drawn to him for a guaranteed good laugh or interesting story or anecdote. He would rely on his deep values to guide his every action, and his strong faith pulled him through the challenges life brought to him. Despite the many obstacles with his health, Joe would have a smile for each person he encountered every single day. His relationships with the closest people in his life meant everything to Joe and he made this known to them.

Professionally, Joe most recently worked in project management for The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). And in years past, he has worked for Worker’s Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) and Polar Bear Software Corp. (PBSC). He prided himself on a strong work ethic and respect for colleagues with each of these roles. He was very well travelled having visited many parts of the United States (following the Dave Matthews Band - DMB), Central America and parts of Europe, and was always eager to share tales of his travel adventures.

Joe will be tremendously missed by all of his family, including aunts, uncles and cousins of The Baring Family and The Manrique Clan, by his friends (including friends of Dentonia Park), and by all of those that had the pleasure of knowing him. His strong impact will keep his memory everlasting and strong. May he rest in peace with the Lord.
