In memory of

Josef Vaclav Cada

March 17, 1943 -  October 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Josef Vaclav Cada, a devoted father, and hardworking soul, who left us on October 3, 2025 at the age of 82. He passed away at William Osler Health Center in Brampton.
He was born on March 17, 1943 in Ceske Budejovice, son of Josef and Kveta Cada (nee Berouvskova). He was the beloved brother of Miroslav, Venceslav, Pavel, Drahuska and Kveta.
Josef was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and quiet kindness. He lived a life grounded in hard work and love, always putting his family first. Whether offering guidance, lending a hand, or simply listening, he made those around him feel valued and supported.
He will be sadly missed by his sons, Paul and Peter and his daughters-in-law, Diana and Giuliana. Adored grandfather of Sophia and Nicholas.
Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of compassion, hard work, and unwavering love will remain in our hearts forever.
A private/family cremation service will be held on October 10th.

Thanks to my great-uncle Josef, two countries Canada and the Czech Republic became connected.
In the past few years, we got in touch with his son and started writing to each other about how we were doing.
We shared both happy moments and difficult times.
I still remember some memories with Josef from when I was very little.
I remember when he visited the Czech Republic and came to our cottage.
He brought us a garden swing, which we still have there today after more than twenty years.

Even though Josef is no longer with us, the memories and the kindness he shared will always stay in our hearts.
Every time I see that old swing in our garden, I’m reminded of him, of my grandmother Květa, and of the beautiful bond between our families one that no distance or time can ever break.
