In memory of

Jose Manuel Soeiro

January 12, 1964 -  October 14, 2025

It is with deep sadness, we share that Joe passed away peacefully on October 14th, 2025 in Mississauga. Born on January 12th,1964 in Lisbon, Portugal, Joe came to Canada at the early age of 3 years old.

Joe was the beloved son of Manuel & Deolinda Soeiro (both predeceased). Loving nephew of Isabel & Cecilia. Devoted godfather to Marco Rodrigues and uncle to Daniel Rodrigues. Adoring cousin to Cecilia, Nelson, Jack, Fred, Maria-Isabel, Sandra, Danny (residing in Canada), Maria Cristina, Maria Fernanda, Maria Isabel, Maria Teresa, Jose, Maria de Fatima, Ana Maria, Ana Cristina (residing in Portugal), along with many other uncles, aunts and cousins that are no longer with us whom he cherished dearly.

Joe will always be remembered for his deep commitment to his family and friends. Best known for his regular phone calls to connect with them to share in his weekly adventures. Remembering special life moments like birthdays and anniversaries was his specialty. He loved to talk sports and rehash the weekly sporting news and results. Joe was extremely fortunate to have wonderful lifelong friends that were established from his high school days at Applewood Heights. He was also immensely proud to be a member of the FedEx team for over 15 years.

Joe was very passionate about donating blood to help others in need. To honour Joeโ€™s generous spirit, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the Canadian Blood Services.

Joeโ€™s legacy of kindness and laughter will continue to live on in all who knew him.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Joe's passing. I will always remember our talks; your stories you shared and the laughter. You were always the person who knew how to get things done. I will always be grateful for our friendship. From day one when I stepped into the FedEx doors you were quick to help. I will always remember you with fondness My condolences to your entire family.... Rest in peace Joe.

I am saddened to hear about Joe's passing. He was a cheerful, humble, kind person and always wore a great big smile on his face when he greeted you. I will miss you Joe and will cherish the fond and lasting memories we had shared at the OLD H.Q especially in the last 5 years. Psalms 147:3: โ€œHe heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. My dearest Joe, you are the only person that I know that could walk into an empty room and walk out with three brand new friends. You are contagious, leaving a lasting impression on anyone that meets you. For those of us fortunate enough to know you well, you entered our bloodstream and forever altered our DNA, and that my friend is your greatest gift. The ability to make anyone who knows you well, a better person. You are the glue that has kept us together for well over 4 decades. Our leader, and by a great distance the best of us. You will never be alone, for we will always be with you, and you with us. Know that wherever you go, we will follow. Love always, your Band of Brothers

He was so full of life & definitely remembered so many important dates & information about people in his life... Will always remember each morning viewing the newspaper and he always had the Horoscope section opened when I came into FedEx each morning
