Passed away, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer at Peterborough Regional Hospital on February 17,2018. Loving wife of Peter. Beloved mother of Sean(Elisha) and Scott(Shannon) and step-mother of Travis(Melanie) . Cherished grandma of Landen, Lakelyn and Lily. Cindy was a loving sister of Ken(Helen) and late Bruce, and sister in law of Kathy(Von) . She was an adored aunt of Philip(Jessie), Melanie(Paul) , Trevor(Gillian) and Tara(Lara), and will be also missed by many extended family and friends. She will be forever remembered for her positive attitude, her generosity and her inspirational spirit .Her love and devotion to her family, especially her little “Mr. Perfect” will resonate in the hearts and minds of all who knew this gracious lady. As per her own wishes, no formal funeral service will be held; a celebration of Cindy’s life will take place at the OSHAWA SHRINE CLUB (1626 Simcoe Street, North, Oshawa) on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1-4 pm. Donations will be gratefully accepted for Hearth Place. The Johnston family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at Hearth Place for kindness and professionalism shown to Cindy and her family-words cannot express.
