In memory of

John Zacharopoulos

April 1, 1929 -  March 19, 2019

John Zacharopoulos passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at QHC Trenton Memorial Hospital. John was born in Greece on April 1, 1929, the son of Spyridon and Aspasia Zacharopoulos.
Predeceased by his first wife Vasiliki (nee Mastoris) whom he followed to Canada to wed, he is survived by his wife Alexandra (Sirilla), his children Don (Brenda) and Melissa (Cesar) and his grand-children Kira (Joel), Matthew, Julian and Benjamin. He is also dearly missed by his step-children Steve (Dawn), Dianne (Jeff), Christine (Stephane) and step-grand-children Tasia, Michael, Kiera and Alexandra.
John’s favourite activity was a simple one, to bring joy to others, be that in surprising them with unsurpassed home baked sweets, full meals, toys for the children. He loved getting out of the city and exploring be it day trips, or week-long camping trips. There was always a smile on his face as long as he put one on someone else’s.
Please join us in honoring John’s life at Pine Hills Funeral Centre on Tuesday, March 26, visitation will be at 10 am, a service at 11 am, followed by a small reception.
Given his love of bringing joy to children, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation will be greatly appreciated.

John was a great man. He was always kind and always ready for an adventure/trip. My fond memories of him were when we took our camping trips, trip to Ottawa, a drive just to get ice cream etc. He was the father I never had. He will always be remembered.
May he finally Rest In Peace.

May fond memories of your dad bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before he passed away. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family.
