On Monday, October 23, 2017, John William Goddard passed peacefully in his sleep at the Royal Victorian Hospital ICU in Barrie. John is survived by his wife and soul mate Heather, sister Rose and brother-in-law Tom Parker. John will be sadly missed by his best friend Dexter and lovingly remembered by family and friends in his role as husband, brother, father, uncle, great uncle and most of all friend. John will begin his journey with visitation at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787) on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6-8 pm. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 at 12 pm in the Great Hall with visitation one hour prior and reception to follow.
